argentum plus/ Colloidal Silver 10 ppm was first developed by Living Energy Systems in the 1990’s to be absorbed straight into the blood stream when held under the tongue for 30 seconds or into the epidermis when applied topically. Its silver concentration of 10 ppm (parts per million) is comparatively low, but the very small silver particle size of 0.001-0.002 micron means that in a dose of 5 ml there are more than 200 thousand elemental silver particles present, which are on average made up from 12-16 ionized silver atoms each, thus creating a very potent silver effect.

It is in fact their size which determines the efficacy and safety of the silver particles in a true colloid of water and silver and as such silver particle size is the most important information you need to find out about, when choosing any colloidal silver product: Particles too small (< 0.001 micron / single atom size as in silver salts, silver oxide and silver chloride for instance) could accumulate in the body causing side effects (argyria); particles too big (>0.005 micron) cannot be utilized by the body and will be largely useless.
